JJ Grey & Mofro - Orange Blossoms

JJ Grey & Mofro’s fourth studio album, the fourth produced with Fog City’s Dan Prothero, is titled Orange Blossoms and it’s out now on Alligator Records. Dan is sharing some exclusive in-studio photos from the recording sessions at Retrophonics Studio in St. Augustine.
“Rich, funky swamp grooves...Grey is a singer-songwriter [who]celebrates life’s most fundamental joys with unforced talent and deep feeling. Mofro has one of the great unhurried rhythm sections in rock, capable of heavy track-laying but comfortable with airy fluctuation.”
“Smoldering Otis Redding-inspired ballads…full-bore blues-rock, down-home roots and country-soul…uproariously funky and melodic homespun tales that are gritty and deeply personal, confrontational and universal. Grey’s resonant vocals are potent and authoritative, mature beyond his age”
